iPad Installation
For iPad installations, the recommended mounting height is 5 feet (approximately 1.5 meters) from the ground. This height is intended to accommodate users of varying heights and provide an optimal authentication experience. For employees who may find the standard mounting height difficult to access, an additional iPad can be installed at a lower height to ensure accessibility and ease of use for all users.
For more information, see Oloid's iPAD Installation Guide.
Important Considerations
Ensure there is sufficient lighting around the tablet so that the end user's facial features are clearly visible in the camera. Avoid placing the device in areas with poor lighting, excessive backlighting, or direct sunlight that may affect the quality of the captured image.
The tablet should be mounted such that the device camera is positioned approximately 5 feet (1.5 meters) above the floor to provide an optimal authentication experience for most users.
The orientation of the iPad (portrait or landscape) is an important installation consideration, as it directly affects facial authentication performance. The device should be installed in the orientation recommended by Oloid for the specific use case to ensure accurate and consistent user recognition.
