How to create Shared Credentials using the Supervisor App

Introduction

Shared Credentials are passwords that can be used to access a local windows machine or a domain. It is shared among the users to which they are assigned.

This document comprises of the following:

Create shared credential

  1. Log in to Supervisor App.

    The Admin Home screen is displayed.

  2. Select Shared Credentials.

    The Shared Credential page is displayed.

  3. On the top right, click + Create.

    The Create Shared Credential page is displayed.

  4. Do the following:

Create shared credential for domain user

  1. Select Credential Type as Domain User.

  2. Enter Display Name.

  3. Select Users for Credential Owner.

  4. Select user(s) as credential owner on the pop-up box and then click Assign.

  5. Enter Domain Name.

  6. Select Preferred Machine from the Preferred Machine list.

    1. Select preferred machine(s) and then click Assign.

  7. Enter Username.

  8. Enter Password.

  9. Enter External ID.

  10. Click Create Credential.

The shared credential of type Domain User is created and listed on the Shared Credential screen.

Create Shared Credential for Local User

  1. Select Credential Type as Local User.

  2. Enter Display Name.

  3. Select user(s) for Credential Owner.

    Select user(s) as credential owner on the pop-up box and then click Assign.

  4. Select Add.

  5. Select Machine .

    1. Select machine and then click Assign.

  6. Enter User Name.

  7. Enter Password.

  8. Enter External ID.

  9. Click Create.

The shared credential of type Windows Local User is created and listed on the Shared Credential screen.
